Jaynic Properties Ltd has successfully managed the planning application and sale of the 15.7-acre former Newlands Private School site in Seaford, East Sussex.
Following extensive consultation with local residents and stakeholders, Jaynic secured outline planning permission for a carefully designed scheme of 183 homes, with Bellway emerging as the successful purchaser following a competitive tender process.
The development comprises 167 new-build private and affordable homes, with the original school building being converted into 16 characterful apartments. The development will also provide a sports pitch and changing rooms, public open space, a children’s play area and extensive landscaping.
Andrew Anderson, Director at Jaynic, said: “We’re delighted to have successfully shaped the future of this site and look forward to seeing Bellway deliver a scheme to provide much-needed new homes in a development that the residents of Seaford can be proud of.”
Dan Merriman, Land Director at Bellway Kent said: “We’re very pleased to have been successful in the tender process for this site and are now finalising our detailed proposals for the development.
“We will be providing a range of properties to meet the needs of local people, including homes for first-time buyers, growing families and downsizers, and we will be submitting a reserved matters application to the local authority in due course.”
